About the Role


We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Assistant.

You will be working across two operating theatres and two treatment rooms.

Your shifts will be Monday - Friday, with no weekend or on call shifts

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Working with and assisting clinical staff;
  • Responsible for stock order for the facility working closely together with the stores department
  • Cleaning and waste removal;
  • Ensuring theatres are set up for surgical procedures and equipment has been checked;
  • Transporting patients between wards;

About You

  • While experience is not necessary in this role, an interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures.
  • You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Willingness to learn and to be trained as a hospital orderly.

You will also bring:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently
  • Excellent patient and customer service focus
  • Be available for morning and afternoon shifts
  • Prior experience in a similar role (Desirable)

Remuneration

$ $33.72 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
