At Axiom Project Services, you will work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to the successful delivery of our clients' projects.

Through the provision of high-end project engineering services, from estimating and cost control to the delivery of major infrastructure and resources projects, you are assured career development with the best the industry has to offer.

You will support projects through concept, feasibility, and execution phases for clients that include Tier 1 resource companies, energy infrastructure developers, government-owned corporations, engineering firms, and constructors.


Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team.

This is a client-side role developing accurate, comprehensive estimates for mining projects, ensuring all financial, material, and labour resources are appropriately allocated.

This role requires an understanding of the mining and resource industries and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for mining projects, covering labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive time and cost estimates.
Evaluate historical data to create detailed cost models.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
Identify risks and opportunities in the estimation process and recommend mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present detailed estimation reports to stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, including assumptions and methodologies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop procedures and provide technical direction to a small team completing estimates.

Skill and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience preferably in mining, resources or infrastructure sectors.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Advanced Excel skills.
