What You Will Achieve


At an incredibly exciting time for the Rare Disease business this is an instrumental role, responsible in conjunction with the SBM and XFT, for designing and executing the brand strategy and go to market plan for a breakthrough medication in rare cardiology.


This is an opportunity to be pivotal player in an incredibly important medication that will be a growth driver for both Rare Disease and Pfizer Australia in an area of unmet need.

Critical to this launch will be the Marketing and customer facing teams leading the way in understanding customer needs, driving innovative solutions and utilising all aspects of the omni-channel that Pfizer is pioneering to add greater value to all customers.

Responsible for developing brand strategies, tactics and omnichannel planning and deployment.

Role Responsibilities

Launch Excellence:

  • Collaborates with SBM on the launch implementation, including channel plan and CFC requirements

Insights, Interpretation and Communication:

  • Integrates and shares information/ customer insights to discover value
  • Creates brand story based on the synthesis of all available information
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuously discovers customers behaviour patterns and underlying motivation and applies to insights to unlock value for customer and Pfizer
  • Evaluates and identifies new processes and methodologies to drive innovation
Research & Analysis- Identifies market research gaps and opportunities in the diagnosis and treatment of ATTR-CM (Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy)- Utilises primary, secondary, quantitative, and qualitative research to answer business questions
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- In collaboration with BAI plans market research needs- Shares actionable insights and best practices across the globe

Operational Planning- Up to date and in-depth knowledge of market, competitors, portfolio and therapeutic area.- Develops and tracks segmentation and targeting- Overseas the creation and development of all brand materials- Collaborates with cross functional team members in the OP process and in the Omni-channel planning process- Consider roles and needs of multiple stakeholders when making strategic and tactical recommendations

Marketing Execution- Translates marketing and omni-channel/tactical plans into specific tasks with measurable outcomes- Overseas all compliant and legal aspects of tactics- Develops CFC communication plan based on omni-channel plan- Assesses opportunities based on market/ brand potential- Partners with procurement to select suppliers- Plans and manages brand spend- Measures effectiveness of tactics

Performance and Metrics- Develop and recommend metrics in collaboration with cross functional partners- Tracks and evaluates multiple, complex performance metrics

Must Have- 3-5+ years brand marketing experience in pharma Industry.

Understands trends in health care and pharmaceutical industry, customer and stakeholder landscape, competitive dynamics and sources of business in Australia, specifically the immunology portfolio- University degree in Science, Health Science or Business required.

Demonstrated success in marketing or sales management- Team engagement: Excellent communication skills with an ability to respond with professionalism in verbal as well as written communications.

Able to interact, influence and work effectively with all levels of management.- Demonstrated ability to work across departments and with vendors/agencies. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, consistently demonstrating resourcefulness and perseverance through ambiguous situations, and be solution oriented- Excellent judgment as well as the ability to work with confidential documents and information- Acts without the total picture, handles risk and uncertainty, self-assured in taking on tasks independently, can prioritise own workload- Makes good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgement in a timely manner.
