The last 2 years have been huge for us, we have grown from 20 to 180+ team members.


Whilst the products that we build are global, the majority of the team sits in Melbourne at our Australian headquarters in the heart of the CBD where we have 3 amazing offices in the same building with all the bells and whistles you could ever want including an in-house barista, pool, and table tennis tables, PS5 and Nintendo Switches, a meditation room, help yourself drinks fridge and snack wall, catered breakfast daily, weekly massages and a pub lunch.


About the role:

We have five squads currently and are looking for a Scrum Master to join our brands and compliance squad. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of our new compliance areas and markets for Stake. You will plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget and scope in accordance with business priorities.

You will track project status, manage project teams to mitigate issues and risks, and facilitate solutions for projects, as well as support BAU where required.

You will work on the development and delivery of new features, and changes to current features to help scale our product.


About you:


You are a highly motivated self-starter with experience delivering technology and digital projects in a dynamic environment, ideally having worked within a scaling technology start-up.

You have a thorough understanding of technology concepts, project management principles and effective reporting.


You understand that strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to you getting the job done and you use tools to discover and communicate key insights into meaningful and visual reports.

You build strong and positive relationships across teams and with stakeholders at all levels in large organisations, and you are a strong influencer who drives action.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Serving as a liaison with stakeholders and product owners to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information and plan future projects.
  • Planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, assisting the squads with allocating resources, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance.
  • Participating in and supervising each stage of the project, having key responsibilities with the scoping, testing and maintenance phases.
  • Planning and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages of completion.
  • Working with the relevant departments to ensure completed projects are performing and maintained to expected standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge of agile methodologies, procedures and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive stories, epics, bugs, etc.
  • Experience working with teams of a multi disciplinary, and empowering them to succeed collectively.
  • Familiar with CI, CD processes.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experienced with agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience leading or working as a project manager previously.
  • Experience working with some form of software/web development.

Desirable qualifications

  • Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
  • Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable & Intercom
