We are currently looking for a:

People & Culture Director About the role:
The People & Culture Director oversees all recruitment, training, development and compliance requirements for Raging Waters Sydney.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Roles&Responsibilities
Manage and co-ordinate resource planning, training, mentoring,recruitmentand performance reviews.

Set service standards within the People & Culture team to ensure the delivery of professional internal service to team members, contractors & external visitors whilst creating andmaintaininga positive culture.

Have a proven understanding and ability to interpretrelevant Award Agreements alongwith other legislative policies & documentation.
Ensure systems, process and practices are in place to enable team membersto effectivelyexecutetheir roles.
Adviseandassistmanagers and supervisors with performance management, investigations and terminations related to WHS and Code of Conduct.
Provide team member related reports for the General Manager asrequired, ensuring confidentiality ismaintained.
Assistwith the facilitation of training courses asrequiredto ensurecompliance with Work Health Safetyand legislation.

Development of Position Descriptions and Jobadvertisementsfor Full Time & Seasonal roles Utilisationof recruiting tactics including, but not limited to, advertising, engagement and partnerships.

Develop andimplement and Team Member orientation and training programs.

Oversee the Reward & Recognition Program for team members Manage and conduct interviews for supervisor and above positions andassist Managers to ensure that the successful candidate aligns to the businesses core values.

Oversee Payroll function through direct supervision of the Payroll Officer Ensure strictadherenceto budget guidelines and report on expenditures against expenses budget.

Manage with end-of-month financial reporting and analysis andmodifyexisting strategies to align with changing targets.
Assistin reviewing, developing,implementingandmonitoringthe performance and use of Job Safe Procedures, or similar (i.e.
Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Work Method Statement)Review and compile training documentation,processesand procedures across all departments Oversee thereturn to workprocess across all business units including management of complex workers compensation claims including liaison with medical providers,specialistsand insurance claim managers Report on safety including incidents, injuries and near misses to Corporate and relevant agencies asrequired.
Oversee compliance with applicable laws that promote and enforce safe practices and behaviours at work.

Coach and challenge managers on decision making in HR and safety matters and in the roll out and management of theseprocesses/activities.

Follow andcomply with Work Health Safetypolicies,proceduresand guidelines.
Ensure all team members are aware of their Work Health Safetyresponsibilities.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
Follow andcomply with Work Health Safety policies,proceduresand guidelines.
Correctly use all safety andpersonal protective equipment Act as a role model bydemonstratingsafe work behaviours.
Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting.
Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.
Liaise with Return to Work Coordinator toassistinjured team members returning to work.

Assistin the development, implementation, delivery and review of policy and procedures that ensure Raging Waters Sydney meets its various obligations including financial, workplace health and safety,industryand legal requirements.


REQUIREMENTS
Education
Degree Qualification in Human Resources, Business or related discipline preferred Experience

At least 5 years' experiencerecruiting inthe leisure,tourismor hospitalityindustry includingexperience with the casual workforce High levelof understanding of Australian IR system.

Experience withremunerationand benefit management Understanding of workplace planning principles High levelof communication and leadership skills Strategic focus and strong negotiation / influencing skills Ability to develop and managelabourand expense budgets Proven analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to apply business management skills Strong computer skills, with competency in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Outlook &Powerpoint)Be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Be able to work in all weather conditions including sun and rain, hot and cold climates, indoor and outdoor work.

Physical requirements include but are not limited to - walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, squatting, sitting, standing, twisting and repetitious movement.
