Two-year fixed term contract More flexibility, less one-size-fits-all The Reserve Bank of Australia is embarking on a Core Modernisation program which involves a major upgrade of core technology infrastructure.

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the engagement and operational readiness stream of the program, reporting to the Program Director (Deputy Head of IT).

You will lead and develop individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.

To achieve this, you will:

Lead the Engagement and Readiness Stream - To prepare and address the human and operational impacts of planned changes and to drive the realisation of benefits.

This includes responsibility for leading the development and execution of the change management plans as well as the operational readiness plans (including operational readiness maturity assessment - pre and post and go live readiness assessment)Lead a team of change specialists introducing improvements to technology, process and people capabilities while maintaining the Bank's high levels of security and availability.

Develop and oversee robust and achievable program and project plans to manage the quality delivery of multiple, concurrent projects and programs with complex interdependencies with other projects in our portfolio.

Manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key business and technology stakeholders to successfully deliver change.
Work collaboratively with peer program managers overseeing technology and application migration streams.
Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure delivery of program benefits, compliance with procurement policies and value for money.
Ensure realisation of agreed program benefits and effective transition of deliverables to operational management.
Identify and respond to issues, risks, and opportunities, supporting the team to deliver agreed program outcomes.
Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems, and processes to enable the Bank to deliver project change more effectively.

Your background We are looking for someone with great people and leadership skills who has proven experience as a program manager with a passion for managing change outcomes for large and complex technology programs including application migrations using both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.

Your skills Proven program management experience, specifically leading change for technology modernisation and application migrations in a complex and large-scale technical environment.

Substantial stakeholder engagement experience dealing with senior business and IT executives and meeting competing demands and expectations.
Exceptional communications and engagement skills in connecting people to purpose and outcomes.

Knowledge and significant experience of various leadership styles and facilitation techniques, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.

Experience working in critical operational industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, operational Government departments, etc.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
Agile and Scrum Certifications (CSM, CSPO, PSM II, A-CSM)Project Management Certifications (PMBOK, Prince 2).
