Welcome to the Procurement Strategy, Programs and Operations Team

We are an enterprise-wide, C-suite sponsored program team built to drive value and operational excellence throughout the Business Units through a consulting service that leverages a strong program structure and provides leading practice insights / thought leadership and delivery excellence to our business partners.

Our mandate is to partner with each of our Business Units across the group portfolio to identify and develop high-quality optimisation programs, within the Goods & Services Not for Resale space. We collaborate with each Business Unit to target and prioritise the areas that represent a significant improvement in their cost of doing business and therefore directly contribute to the company's bottom line.

About the opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to spearhead the identification and delivery of initiatives to optimise and streamline the current E2E procurement processes leveraging AI, automation and emerging technologies.

Joining a collaborative team you will be a trusted advisor to the Senior Technology and Insights Manager and will ensure Woolworths extracts maximum benefit from its investment in SAP Ariba and S/4HANA. It will also develop and deliver quarterly, a technology roadmap that balances innovation and existing system infrastructure to underpin the Procurement 3 Horizon Strategy.

What you'll do

This role will directly contribute to the evolution of the Group Procurement Value Proposition and its internal service delivery models. You will:

Complete quarterly process analysis to identify, evaluate and pilot continuous improvement opportunities to streamline and automate through internally developed and off-the-shelf procurement solutions scaling successful projects across the Procurement team Collaborate intensively with IT to deliver optimal SAP Ariba configurations and potential S/4HANA migration. Lead end-to-end process analysis, uncovering and prioritising areas for technology-driven improvement. Champion change management across technology rollout, overcoming resistance, and designing tailored training.

What you'll bring

We are looking for an individual with prior or current consulting or large corporate experience with demonstrable leadership skills who can lead high-performing delivery teams. You will bring:

Extensive experience within consulting or a large-scale corporation leading Procurement Technology Programs Knowledge of the Procurement Technology Landscape (broadly, includes AI use cases) Deep knowledge of an end to end Non-Trade/Indirects Procurement Process SAP Ariba (functional knowledge to identify gaps and design solutions) and integration with S/4HANA Specialist program management skills developed as a member of a complex program team leading a systems workstream and utilising agile methodologies Well-developed problem-solving toolkit including analytical with a creative mindset that brings clarity to ambiguity and the development of the storyboard to engage and bring stakeholders along the journey. Proven collaboration and strong business partnering skills with senior Stakeholders A love of processes, systems and data-driven insights Vendor Management Practices to support negotiating terms and pilot design
