The position

SoftwareOne is seeking a Pre-Sales Enterprise Architect, a pivotal sales role that involves collaborating with the sales team to identify and grasp the customer's business and technical needs. The ideal candidate utilizes their expertise in the company's offerings to craft solutions that align with the customer's requirements. Additionally, they engage in delivering presentations and demos to clients, offering technical insights throughout the sales process. Collaboration with various internal teams, such as solution specialists and product teams, is essential to ensure the proposed solutions are viable and can be delivered promptly. Providing input to product specialists regarding customer needs and market trends is crucial to steer the development of new offerings.

Being an Enterprise Architect at SoftwareOne requires a profound understanding of cloud computing, experience with Azure/AWS platforms, and familiarity with enterprise architecture principles. The role involves working closely with our top accounts, serving as a trusted advisor to CTOs and CIOs on cloud and Microsoft 365, empowering them to elevate their IT operations and drive digital transformation.

Key requirements
  • Full-Time Work Rights in Australia
  • Ability to work in Perth (hybrid work model: two days onsite per week)
  • Relevant work experience in Australia (AWS/Azure/M365 preferred)

Technical qualifications for an Enterprise Architect include:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in IT, focusing on the architecture and implementation of enterprise-level systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Strong business process understanding to align technology solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certifications in AWS, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  • Additional certification such as TOGAF 9 is a plus.

Consulting qualifications for an Enterprise Architect involve:

  • Conducting discovery workshops to map current states and recommend tailored solutions aligned with the organization's technology and business goals.
  • Developing consulting approaches and frameworks swiftly and effectively.
  • Understanding business drivers and articulating service impacts in non-technical terms.
  • Applying strategic thinking to grasp the business implications of engagements.
