Program Assistant. Full Time Max Term

The objective of the Program Assistant is to actively support the Operations Manager in handling client referrals, service evaluations, administrative tasks related to the program, and managing the client database. Moreover, providing guidance and peer assistance to empower teams in achieving positive results for the children and young individuals we assist.
This opportunity is for a Full-Time position with an 8-month maximum term contract that may be prolonged, and is centered in our Toowoomba office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance in managing client database within the Child, Youth and Family Program.
- Monitor evolving requirements of service users, offer information, and contribute to adapting LWB services to meet these needs.
- Foster a constructive team environment, serve as a role model, and offer on-the-job support.
- Enhance efficiencies through top-notch administration, communication, and records management.
- Organize resources for the region (vehicles, ICT equipment, room bookings, petty cash, office maintenance, etc.), and uphold recording systems.
- Establish, update, and maintain registers containing sensitive Client and Carer details following organizational protocols.
- Adhere to all Life Without Barriers policies, codes of conduct, procedures, practices, external funding body criteria, and laws.
- Embrace and promote principles of equality and anti-discrimination in the workplace, and comply with organizational and statutory Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Skills & Experience
- Preferably hold tertiary qualifications in the health or welfare arena and/or possess relevant experience.
- Demonstrated capability to establish positive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to safeguard clients' privacy and confidentiality.
- Proficient in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in written and computer skills for developing plans, programs, reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
- Possession of a current Full Unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
Successful applicants are required to pass probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where applicable to the role).
Please be aware: To be eligible for and appointed to a role at Life Without Barriers, it is mandatory to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, complying with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Proof of vaccination status will be requested during the selection process.
