About The Position:

You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our engineering projects for tier 1 mining companies. As the Technical Lead driving the development and implementation of control systems for a variety of industrial applications, your work will have a particular focus on PLC and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for a variety of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Mentor and develop other engineers to optimise designs, fostering their growth and development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop and detailed documentation deliverables.
  • Review the works of other for accuracy, fitness for purpose, cost effectivenes and quality.
  • Design instrumentation interfaces and provide input to engineering drawings.
  • Provide accurate estimates of engineering activities and efforts required to achieve project outcomes.
  • Initiate continuous improvements via the latest developments in control systems engineering, automation technologies, and industry best practices.

About You:

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) with control systems in the mining and resource sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High levels of attention to detail and a passion for quality outputs.
  • Broad interests in the Operational Technology space and the ability to work across various platforms for different customers.
  • Experience with SCADA (Citect, Wonderware, Factory Talk, Cimplicity).
  • PLC experience (Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Schneider, GE, Emerson).
  • DCS experience desirable.
  • Client focused and the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Willingness to attend the customers' operations occasionally, including short site trips up to approximately a week.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Visio
  • The right to work in Australia.
