Are you an experienced Cyber Security Incident Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity in Melbourne's vibrant Central Business District (CBD)?
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join a dynamic team as a Cyber Security Incident Analyst.

In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting incident response activities and triaging security events to ensure the protection of our organization's digital assets.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security events using industryleading tools and technologies.
  • Conduct incident triage and determine the severity and impact of each event.
  • Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents, identifying the root cause and implementing effective countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop incident response plans and strategies.
  • Provide timely updates and reports to management regarding incident response activities and security event trends.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including incident response procedures, playbooks, and postincident reports.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security threats.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cyber security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in cyber security incident support and triaging security events.
  • Strong knowledge of security incident response methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with industrystandard tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
