About the Role:
Do you have a strong interest in promoting wellbeing and values in a primary school environment? Join a close-knit primary school in Altona as a Wellbeing and Values Specialist. This unique role involves educating students from Foundation to Year 6, fostering a positive mindset and a sense of community through an innovative program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a wellbeing and values education curriculum in line with the Victorian Curriculum and school guidelines.
  • Create engaging lesson plans suitable for different age groups covering topics like emotional intelligence, resilience, mindfulness, empathy, respect, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to incorporate wellbeing and values education into daily lessons.
  • Lead school-wide activities and events promoting wellbeing and school values such as campaigns against bullying, kindness initiatives, and community projects.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development communities to share knowledge and resources.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth to stay abreast of the latest practices in wellbeing and values education.
  • Ensure the wellbeing and values education program aligns with the school's mission and strategic objectives.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • Prior experience in Primary teaching in Australia advantageous
  • Ability to provide references from within the education sector from the past 5 years.

Offering:

  • Immediate start on a fixed-term contract with potential opportunities until 2025
  • Work on Tue, Wed, and Thu with flexibility on the remaining day - Mon or Fri
  • Teaching responsibilities across all year levels F-6
  • Collaboration with supportive leadership for planning
