Civil Designer Position

About the Opportunity

Our Buildings team is currently engaged in various significant projects in Sydney, covering commercial, defense, industrial, educational, and healthcare sectors. We are seeking a passionate Civil Designer to join our experienced and expanding team.

This role involves civil design and documentation for a range of projects across different sectors. Projects vary from initial concept design and master planning to detailed design and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical design and documentation using 12d, Civil 3d, and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborating on design with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and BIM/Infraworks modelers.
  • Providing precise and effective design/drafting services for the business sector.
  • Identifying and resolving potential design conflicts and challenges during the design process.
  • Ensuring consistency, quality, technical accuracy, and design integrity in projects.
  • Providing technical input for design execution in compliance with current standards and regulations.
  • Engaging in client and consultant meetings.
  • Adhering to professional standards, ethics, and quality procedures.
  • Opportunities for on-site and fieldwork.

Requirements:

  • Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong technical design background in buildings and civil design.
  • Proven experience in civil design/drafting in a consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant standards and regional legislation.
  • Capability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
