About the role


Working within the Regional Operations Training and Policy team you will play a significant role by assisting with a range of training related administrational and co-ordinational tasks.

You will also partner with areas of the business to develop, plan and facilitate the delivery of training to internal users of our Travel Booking Systems for our long distance and tourist services (online, virtual and in-person).

These training programs are primarily for employees in customer service focussed roles.

Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of formal training and assessment programs to Queensland Rail Travel consultants using our Travel booking systems including training on our policies and product for the long distance and tourist services.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of training programs, manuals, policies and processes, documentation and forms.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and data entry of training and competency activities in relevant files, corporate and Queensland Rail databases.
  • Assist with the coordination of monthly compliance reports and other compliance reports as requested by the business.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in a training facilitation role for a customer service focussed team
  • Ability to assist with the development and maintenance of training programs, manuals and processes.
  • Substantial level of administrative, planning and organisational skills with regard to the implementation of training and assessment plans.
  • Effective interpersonal skills a key component of this role as the team has a collaborative approach and stakeholder engagement is a frequent occurrence.
  • Proactive approach with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team.
