Deaf and Hearing HQ Australia specialises in providing support and services to individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, as well as those who communicate using Auslan.

About the role

Duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Work independently to provide interpreting services to individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or use Auslan to communicate.
  • Attend face to face or online appointments with clients. This may include government services, health and wellbeing, education, etc.
  • Keep accurate records of shifts and activities
  • Work within NDIS code of conduct

About you

  • Hold NAATI certified translator certificate
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • An understanding of the NDIS code of conduct and principles
  • Ability to work with NDIS participants to achieve their goals
  • Drivers licence and own car, willing to use for transporting clients when required
  • Valid police check
  • Willing to obtain WWCC
