The opportunity:

Reporting to Head of Finance Technology, the Senior Finance Business Partner role plays an integral role in Co-Leading Technology strategy through providing finance business partnering support to various technology functions and delivering planning and analytics and management reporting of the function. The role is responsible in engaging, extending, and supporting all the key stakeholders through delivering insightful financial management capability with transparency, visibility and financial control management.

How will I help?

  • Partner with the Technology the role shares accountability of delivering monthly performance and full year Budget/forecast
  • Manage all financial management elements of Technology (including BAU and/or projects)
  • Partner with cost centre managers to build yearly plans, forecasts and consolidate for each Functional executive
  • Provide financial performance information and insights to support Technology business activities in a timely, efficient manner and ensure data integrity
  • Provide forward trend analysis and a comprehensive level of insights
  • Financial management and quality control for reporting initiatives
  • Experience implementing service-based costing methodology for technology, and ability to produce analysis for cost of Technology services
  • Strong understanding of Technology concepts in business context – concepts such as run/change/build, cloud vs perpetual, Technology lifecycle, understanding of Technology in a large corporate (systems, platforms, architecture, processes), and a general interest in Technology trends in business
  • Experience managing Financial Management for IT projects, including capitalisation, tracking cost/benefits, project methodologies (agile etc) and ability to measure ongoing impact on run/change baseline
  • Proactively influencing, facilitating and driving outcomes with stakeholder to drive the financial agenda for the organisation
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders across Technology and finance to enhance performance reporting outcomes.

What do I need?

  • Degree qualified – Finance / Business or similar
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • Significant demonstrated experience (10+ Years) in the areas of Financial Management and reporting preferable in Technology
  • Strong Accounting and governance skills
  • Organised, ability to multi-task and balance short-term deliverables with long-term plan
  • Prior experience in influencing and managing indirect reports
  • Proven ability to successfully build and manage relationships, working with senior executives
  • Demonstrated senior commercial stakeholder management and strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Proven ability to manage/support change programs
  • Strong analytical skills, seasoned business judgment and commercial acumen
  • A strong understanding of Technology functions and practices from a financial lens is desirable
