Intelligence Support Officer

About the role:
Victoria Police is currently advertising (1) full-time ongoing, VPS-2 position within North-West Metro, Division 4.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to members at the Criminal Investigation Unit - Moreland.
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.Your duties will include:
- Perform a broad range of office support and computerbased tasks including preparation of reports, general correspondence, keyboard and data entry, property administration, spreadsheets and data base activities.
- Assist in collecting, collating and basic evaluation of information in respect to intelligence data.
- Ensure effective delivery of administrative support activities associated within the Division.
- Assist in maintaining computerbased systems for the purpose of information and intelligence gathering.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship professionally and responsively with customers both internal and external to Victoria Police.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Experience in working with computers and various programs with a high attention to detail;
- Good conceptual and research skills with the ability to value add to information and to assist in identification of issues;
- Knowledge of or experience in basic analysis;
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work with mínimal supervision;
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask;
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Requirements and relevant information:
- One (1) VPS2 fulltime ongoing position available.
- Position located at the Criminal Investigation Unit Moreland at 1151 Boundary Road, Hadfield. While this position has a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
