About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising (1) full-time ongoing, VPS-2 position within North-West Metro, Division 4.

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to members at the Criminal Investigation Unit - Moreland.

Your duties will include:

  • Perform a broad range of office support and computerbased tasks including preparation of reports, general correspondence, keyboard and data entry, property administration, spreadsheets and data base activities.
  • Assist in collecting, collating and basic evaluation of information in respect to intelligence data.
  • Ensure effective delivery of administrative support activities associated within the Division.
  • Assist in maintaining computerbased systems for the purpose of information and intelligence gathering.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship professionally and responsively with customers both internal and external to Victoria Police.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and various programs with a high attention to detail;
  • Good conceptual and research skills with the ability to value add to information and to assist in identification of issues;
  • Knowledge of or experience in basic analysis;
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work with mínimal supervision;
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask;
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) VPS2 fulltime ongoing position available.
  • Position located at the Criminal Investigation Unit Moreland at 1151 Boundary Road, Hadfield. While this position has a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
