Clinical Facilitator

The Clinical Facilitator (CF) plans, implements and evaluates clinical learning opportunities within rural facilities to support clinicians to provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-focused services.
Clinical Facilitators develop and maintains collaborative relationships with clinicians and educators to enable education services to be available and accessible within the clinical setting.
Main portfolio for this position include: nursing orientation for staff and undergraduate/postgraduate students; staff development of both novice and experienced nurses; review and management of mandatory and requisite training requirements; support the delivery of advanced life support, optimus core and ETEK training.
The position will predominately be at Gatton Hospital. Gatton Hospital is a rural hospital with a capacity for 16 beds. It offers medical services, an emergency department as well as community services and allied health services.
About you
- Advanced knowledge in clinical practice together with that of relevant policies and procedures as they relate to rural nursing.
- Demonstrate clinical experience and contemporary knowledge relevant to the rural space.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education activities which support clinicians to deliver contemporary, and evidencebased care.
- Demonstrate advanced level of interpersonal and written communication skills to enable accurate, complete, and timely information transfer to clinicians in individual and group education settings to support patientcentred care delivery and staff's professional development.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively within both clinical and education teams to meet service imperatives within designated timeframes and resource allocations.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/1
- Vaccinated against COVID19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
