ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a
Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance Planning team based in Dry creek. Working at Aurizon, your role will be to develop medium
- and long-term planning of locomotive and wagon maintenance. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement efficient and effective maintenance plans of up to five years. Your proven ability to build positive work environments and champion a Zero Harm Safety Culture will see you succeed in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop governing rules, processes, and systems for medium to longterm maintenance plans (1 month to 2year plans)
  • Provide direction to schedulers to ensure all locomotive and wagon maintenance is planned to meet compliance and business needs
  • Lead daily communication across workshops and external repair providers to ensure the existence of one maintenance plan
  • Analyse any variations to the plan and develop strategies to prevent re occurrence
  • Drive yearonyear improvements in availability and reliability of locomotive and wagon fleets

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in heavy industry maintenance
  • Strong IT Skills including Maintenance Management Systems, Excel, and SAP (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to report on data
  • Rail maintenance planning experience highly regarded
  • Proven ability to lead and influence others to drive outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
