Mackay Regional Council is seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Asset Management Team.

Exciting Opportunity:

This role focuses on enhancing asset management practices within the organization. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the MRC Strategic Asset Management Plan and Digital Asset Management Plans. You'll be part of a dynamic team driving improvements in MRC's asset management capabilities.

Our ideal candidate should:

  • Engage with stakeholders to present optimal scenarios for MRC.
  • Lead outcomes through governance groups.
  • Assess MRC's maturity using established models.
  • Manage indirect reports, including Senior Leadership members, to achieve asset management targets.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence and stakeholder involvement in decision-making.
  • Represent the Asset Management Program at various events, presenting a positive image.
  • Provide clear direction and coaching to stakeholders in the asset management process.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Asset Management qualification.
  • Asset Management Certificate like CAAM.
  • Significant experience in lifecycle asset management.
  • Experience in ISO 55000, PAS55, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience leading small teams or project teams.
