Vestas Australia is excited to announce a new opportunity in the Power Plant Solutions Department.

We are in search of an Assistant Lead Engineer for Plant Performance to oversee the technical aspects of Wind Farms' Power and Acoustics performance. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and contractual warranties.

In this role, you will be accountable for managing the plant performance for assigned projects from start to finish, working under the guidance of the Head of Plant Performance APAC.

You will team up with a group of friendly and equally motivated performance engineers to supervise and enhance plant performance across all Vestas projects in the APAC region.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee plant performance for assigned projects end-to-end.
  • Create RFQs to engage contractors and consultants for their scopes.
  • Conduct internal analysis to validate asset performance.
  • Review designs and technical reports related to performance.
  • Offer technical expertise to internal & external stakeholders regarding performance.
  • Collaborate with other teams and subject matter experts within Vestas locally and globally as required.
  • Enhance and manage existing tools and processes and advocate for such improvements globally within Vestas.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in engineering or renewables.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar field.
  • Experience in wind and/or other renewable industries is preferred.
Competencies:
  • Experience in renewables assets operation, testing, or performance.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Required).
  • Intermediate SQL skills (Preferred).
  • Basic Python skills (Desired)
