Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the review, implementation and embedding of the organisation's enterprise
  • wide compliance management framework within Insignia Financial
  • Lead the Compliance team to manage the compliance program across Insignia Financial and all areas of the business, ensuring compliance with all relevant licence and regulatory requirements.
  • Review, interpret and ensure an appropriate approach to compliance is implemented for all regulatory changes relevant to the organisation and incorporated into the ongoing Compliance Obligations Framework.
  • Drive continuous improvements to the compliance processes and obligations that are owned by Risk Management
  • Review and draft compliance policies, driving continuous enhancement to the compliance policy framework.
  • Collection, analysis, escalation, and reporting of compliance insights, exceptions & breaches.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of an appropriate learning curriculum to ensure staff understand and are trained on their compliance obligations and the regulatory environment.

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Post graduate studies in Investments and/or Advice and/or Superannuation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Compliance management roles in complex financial services organisations, and senior leadership roles.
  • Detailed knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks
  • Detailed understanding of superannuation laws and landscape in Australia.
  • Ability to drive change through regulatory compliance engagement with the business, systems, processes, and people.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to write well and have a high attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make sense of complex and logical problems quickly.
  • Experience in working in complex multisector businesses undergoing significant transformation and remediation.
