Organisational Development Manager

Department: C&TD Leadership, Culture & Engagement

Division: Talent & Culture

Location: Melbourne

About the role

At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

Culture and Talent Development is part of the Talent & Culture division. It plays an important role in the people agenda for the Bank to help position ANZ for the future, leveraging Leadership & Talent, Executive Recruitment, Culture & Employee Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, and Learning & Reskilling.

The Leadership and Talent team is responsible for enterprise-wide frameworks, solutions and systems. Our mission is to ensure ANZ has highly skilled and adaptable leaders at all levels to deliver what matters today, and tomorrow. Our contribution includes thought leadership, design, and advisory, as well as execution.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Organisational Development Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in multiple critical priorities.

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
Role Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-time

What will your day look like

Depending on the successful candidate, this role is accountable for a mix (but not all) of the following:

  • Executive leadership development design, delivery and/or facilitation.
  • Partnering with T&C Business Partners and senior leaders to support decisions about best solutions for different needs (e.g. executive coaching, leadership insight assessments, critical role transitions).
  • Facilitating understanding and embedding of ANZ's enterprise approach to talent management, coupled with leveraging the SuccessFactors platform to support succession and talent management practices.
  • Shaping processes and interventions that increase bench strength and readiness for critical roles today, and in the future.
  • Managing critical talent pools, and using data and insights to inform investment and prioritisation decisions.
  • Developing and managing a leadership and talent dashboard to measure progress against key metrics.
  • Identifying opportunities to partner with the Diversity & Inclusion and Executive Recruitment teams to deliver joint objectives.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven organisational development experience, preferably in talent management and/or leadership development, or similar programs of work.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing initiatives across multiple divisions, including senior stakeholder management.
  • Strong consulting and project management skills focused on the end-to-end understanding of the problems to solve, sourcing data and insight to support a business case, planning and prioritisation of work, and business partnering to deliver outcomes.
  • Proven capability to think conceptually and creatively about problems.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and complexity in an autonomous way, appropriate for the role level.
  • Data savviness, and an appetite and self-drive to accelerate knowledge and skill in this space.
  • This role interacts with, and has shared responsibility for, the talent and succession module in SuccessFactors, so experience using and/or maintaining enterprise systems is beneficial.

The 'good to have' knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

  • Familiarity with Human-Centred Design
  • Executive coaching skills
  • Agile ways of working experience
So, why join us?

From the moment you join ANZ, you'll be doing meaningful work that will shape a world where people and communities thrive.
But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. You'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and support you need to take the next big step in your career.

We're a diverse bunch at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things.
