We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Merchandise Manager to join our team in the vibrant agricultural region of Northern QLD in Ingham. This pivotal role in the merchandise team requires building strong partnerships with customers and providing expert advice on a range of agricultural products and supplies.

A Day in the Life:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will oversee the sales and inventory management of various products including ag chem, fertilizer, and other agricultural merchandise. Collaborate with store management, agronomists, and sales teams to enhance retail operations, conduct stock takes, engage in on-farm discussions, provide technical support, and offer guidance to boost performance. Take part in budgeting, manage P&L, negotiate with suppliers, develop pricing strategies, and monitor stock levels and marketing initiatives to maintain a competitive edge. Analyze market trends and seasonal factors to ensure Nutrien Ag Solutions stands out as the top choice for rural customers.

Key Qualifications:

Experience in pricing, margin management, and achieving sales targets through effective category development is crucial. Networking skills and the ability to spot business growth opportunities are essential. Strong interpersonal skills to nurture long-term customer and internal relationships, drive business outcomes, and excellent communication skills are required. Exposure to SAP ERP and proficiency in MS Excel for reporting are preferred. Forklift certification and a heavy rigid license are advantageous.
