Theprincipal areas of responsibility will be ensuring full compliance withAustralian Standards and NATA requirements for sampling and testing of concretemixes and entering test results into multi-faceted systems.
With relevantexperience expect to start at around $29/hr and earn around $80k perannum upwards with typical overtime.
The Role
Sampling and testing fresh concrete as per Australian standards on construction sites. Collecting concrete test samples (concrete in moulds, approx. 5kg) from construction sites – typically from 3 – 5 sites @ day Assisting Lab technicians and carrying out compression and other strength tests on cured concrete specimens in our Skygate/Southport Laboratory Working safely and accurately Reporting to Laboratory SupervisorThe Requirements:
Queensland driver's licence Previous qualification in Laboratory Techniques/signatory will be highly regarded Perform tests in accordance with Australian Standards Physically fit (Able to carry 15 litres of concrete for each test.Trollies can be provided) Pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug/alcohol testing.
