Security Practitioner - RFQ-ASD SOW - Original


JP2289 is a rapidly growing 6 year project within ASD to build and uplift ASD systems and support organisation elements for the introduction of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, communities and tactical users into the information environment.

Project activities include expanding the existing network, computing systems, complex gateway services, cloud services, mission services, data management services, and deployable systems.

JP2289 is executing a highly innovative delivery strategy enabling multi-classification working and a partnership between the ASD and Defence enterprises.

To facilitate project outcomes, ASD has a requirement for a Security Practitioner.

The role will deliver effective capability solutions, identify fundamental cyber concepts and ensure proactive and continuous engagement and collaboration between security, information technology (IT), and cyber professionals.

The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility (LOR 5)

ABOUT THE COMPANY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and leading threat risk assessment activities; research information security standards; conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  • Review existing system security measures, recommend and implement enhancements. Review internal/externally developed security engineering artefacts to ensure that all security requirements are addressed.
  • Develop, deliver and update System Accreditation Plan (SAP), Security Risk Management Plan (SRMP), or similar documentation, to ensure Capability solution architecture/design(s) are able to sufficiently mitigate the identified threats.
  • Liaise with certification and accreditation authorities, business stakeholders and solution architects develop a solution/design to an accreditation outcome.
  • Advise design authorities on system security threats, risks and mitigations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
