  • Kangan Institute prominent provider of vocational education and training (VET) for metropolitan Melbourne
  • Bendigo TAFE prominent provider of vocational education and training (VET) for regional Victoria.
  • VETASSESS a leading Australian Assessing Authority and independent assessmentonly registered training organisation for clients nationally and internationally
- eWorks - an e-learning hosting, content and consultancy specialist.


Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is entering a significant phase of campus development where they have major new facilities to deliver in the next four years across new and existing campuses including; Health and Community Centre of Excellence, Broadmeadows, Hume Technical School, Sunbury Satellite Campus Castlemaine Health Learning Hub and Melton Campus.


Reporting into the Chief Industry and Education Officer, the Head of Education Design and Operations will provide thought leadership and expert advice to the organisation on educational pedagogy to build a reputation for academic quality and relevance with students and industry.

The role has oversight and responsibility for embedding a quality vocational education and training experience so that students, employers, the community, and governments have confidence in the integrity of national qualifications issued by BKI.

This role will encourage an organisation-wide commitment to quality by leading customer-centric development initiatives, empowering staff by recognising the importance of individual contributions and analysing and evaluating data to make decisions that address current and future business needs.


To be considered for this role, you will have extensive experience in developing and implementing quality learning and teaching frameworks within a large organisation and led a team to achieve vocational education excellence.


You possess an advanced understanding of VET Funding contracts, regulatory standards and educational operations with in-depth experience in planning, delivery and uplifting capability.

A proven ability to achieve strategic goals in the context of legislative frameworks, operational systems, financial sustainability, and performance is essential.


Please note that the successful applicant will require a Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and will hold full working rights in Australia.

This role will be based at the Broadmeadows or Bendigo campus and will occasionally require travel to other metro and regional campuses in Victoria.
