Security by Design: Transforming Insignia Financials Technology Landscape

Insignia Financial is investing in a new era of cyber security. With an engaged Board of Directors and Executive team, led by our CISO, James Ng, we're looking for a leader to head our Cyber Security Design & Assurance team. This is your chance to be part of a newly consolidated team and shape the future of cyber security at Insignia Financial. We believe security is a core element of every technology solution, not an afterthought. You'll lead a team of experts who embed security principles into the very fabric of our technology. You'll guide our projects, influence our architecture, and ensure that our security controls are robust, tested, and effective. We're strategically refreshing our processes and technology to enable a proactive and effective cyber resilience approach. We have a dedicated budget and a newly approved cyber security operating model. If you're passionate about secure-by-design and want to make a tangible impact, we want to hear from you.

The opportunity to join our team

As the Head of Cyber Security Design & Assurance you will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to ensuring that the organisation's technology solutions, products, and services are designed, implemented, and operated with robust security controls. These controls must align with cyber security policies and standards to maximize resilience against real-world cyber threats. This role involves governing and championing secure-by-design principles and overseeing the verification of security controls throughout the technology lifecycle. You will ensure that security is integrated and maintained throughout all stages of development and operation. This role is pivotal in creating a value stream that streamlines engagement with the rest of the business, pushing the boundaries of traditional cyber functions.

What you will bring

You will excel in critical thinking, demonstrating the ability to analyse complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions. You demonstrate your outstanding communication skills by translating complex technical concepts and security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will have deep knowledge of network, cloud , and application security, secure design principles, vulnerability management, and threat assessment methodologies, supported by extensive experience in related technical roles with leadership experience.You will bring a strong understanding of risk management frameworks, enabling you to align security controls with the organisation's risk appetite while effectively balancing mitigation with business objectives. You will thrive on developing the team, being able to foster an environment that promotes growth and collaboration.
