Your future role

Embrace a new opportunity to showcase your expertise at Alstom. You will have a key role in the operation and maintenance of an underfloor wheel lathe crucial for V/Line maintenance operations. This position will primarily be based at our Newport facility, with occasional work in West Melbourne.

We are looking for:

  • Preparing vehicles for machining
  • Operating the lathe to machine vehicles to specified standards
  • Performing lathe maintenance
  • Undertaking general workshop responsibilities as needed

  • Team player with a passion for learning and development
  • Hands-on experience in operating a wheel lathe or similar machinery
  • Trade Qualification: Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Trade / Fitter Machinist
  • Preference for experience in Rolling Stock maintenance
