Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand the vision and business objectives of the DRP and recognise how your own work contributes to the achievement of these goals. Contribute your own expertise by analysing and interpreting information to inform high level executives and decision makers.
  • Demonstrate evidencebased knowledge of Queensland Government legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and strong skills in business processes, for example, records management.
  • Manage, coordinate and develop briefing notes, program plans, executive correspondence and ministerial requests in line with the department's approval protocols and timeframe targets. Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication styles to convey messages that will achieve a desired effect. Negotiate persuasively with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage the RHF correspondence and administrative requirements of the Office of the General Manager and PMO.
  • Provide analysis and advice to the DRP Executive and PMO on policies and issues which impact the RHF program.
  • Provide secretariate and governance functions to support the RHF governance committees
  • Work with the PMO to coordinate a range of activities simultaneously and use resources, systems and processes effectively and efficiently to accomplish goals.
  • Manage internal and external relationships including the ability to relate well to people at all levels, build networks, and work collaboratively with stakeholders in a high performance sport environment.
  • Focus on performance and energetically approach challenges to the work. Differentiate between critical and noncritical activities in order to manage a broad range of activities simultaneously. Take responsibility for your work and actions by being selfdirected and show resilience in times of uncertainty.
Technical/operational expertise

  • Demonstrated highlevel skills in research, analysis and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability in the management of complex projects and activities, and participation in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, establish priorities and work as an effective member of a team to successfully contribute to organisational objectives.
  • A highlevel of communication, consultation, negotiation and liaison skills including writing skills and the capacity to build effective working relationships.
