As the Scientist – Nuclear Medicine you will be part of the team who are producing existing radiopharmaceutical technologies whilst applying your knowledge to technological advances to increase efficiency and quality of radioisotope production for medical applications. This is a Brisbane based position with relocation support on offer if required.

Our Client is growing technology company who have developed novel radiopharmaceutical technologies that provide breakthrough treatments for patients. What will you be doing?

In this role each day brings variety as the radioisotope production processes are scaled up to ensure that critical timelines are met. As the company evolves from R&D production to commercial production there will be a need to apply strict GMP guidelines to meet quality and regulatory requirements. Note that early morning starts and night shifts will be required for this role.

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Production of radioisotopes including conducting product quality checks
  • Support the transition and setup of equipment to the new facility (within Brisbane) including validation and verification activities
  • Utilise your expertise for trouble shooting requirements
  • Analyse results and deliver accurate reports on time

What do you need?

Other key requirements of this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with radioisotope applications, separation and/or development
  • Knowledge of what GMP means and why it is essential in a controlled manufacturing environment
  • A strong appreciation for laboratory safety and the ability to work within an environment that requires strict PPE
  • Have a proactive approach to working in a small team where no task is too small or too big.
