Lifting and repetitive physical work such as vacuuming large spaces is a requirement of this role and it can be physically demanding at times.


Key responsibilities:

  • Bring your 'pride of place' and attention to detail to general cleaning activities, providing a welcoming experience for clients, visitors and coworkers.
  • Using wellhoned organisational skills, restock cleaning supplies and consumables.
  • Manage rubbish removal by emptying bins and ensuring recycling is ready for collection.
  • Maintain a routine for more occasional 'deeper cleaning' tasks, instructing coworkers on how to prepare and assist with access (eg remove items from desks, floor area or windows).


We are looking for volunteers available at - 6 hours a week over 2 days on a Monday afternoon and a Thursday afternoon or Friday - this is to clean the entire buildings (vacuum/mop/toilets).


Development opportunities with this role:


This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in cleaning and appropriate use of cleaning products, along with working alongside a team to create an aesthetically pleasing environment.

More broadly, volunteers in this role will have access to further training opportunities and exposure to the workings of a large not-for-profit organisation.
