One of Australia's most progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Senior Communications and Marketing Officer to develop clear and effective internal and external communications in collaboration with stakeholders. The role can be based in Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane with flexible working arrangements also available. The successful Senior Communications and Marketing Officer willbe offered a 12 month contract with 2 X 12 month extension options.

The successful Senior Communications and Marketing Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Developing clear, engaging, visually attractive and effective internal and external communications
  • support the development and execution of end-to-end marketing and communication programs
  • Implement communications plans, including setting tasks and priorities and managing work flow and timelines, following an account management approach
  • Assist in developing communications plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments

The successful Senior Communications and Marketing Officer will have experience in the following:

  • Proven experience developing and implementing communications strategies, tools and materials for a variety of audiences.
  • Tertiary qualifications or experience in communications or a related field, such as stakeholder engagement, instructional design or graphic design
  • Experience in developing creative visual content to explain concepts and messages in an accessible manner
