CATERING MANAGER - Prestigious Corporate Client based in the City


We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on, highly driven professional to manage the catering requirements within this high-profile corporate environment based in Brisbane (CBD).

Reporting directly to the account manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running and supervision of the catering operation including functions and events, workshops, and meetings.

You will be multi-skilled with the ability to lead your team, meet financial targets, adhere to company standards, as well as maintain a strong relationship with the client, EA's and property leads.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
  • Financial and operational management of the catering operation
  • Menu and website management
  • Coordination, setup, delivery and breakdown of function services as required
  • Ensuring high standards of food presentation & safety adherence
  • Manage staffing requirements and rosters
  • Ordering and replenishing stock
  • Technical troubleshooting (equipment)

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Strong background in management (preferably catering, hospitality, kitchen operations)
  • A focus on providing excellent customer service and a passion for great food
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplines and kitchen operations
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment whilst maintaining flexibility
  • Highly developed leadership skills
  • Strong compliance and record keeping skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable grooming standards
  • Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
  • Food safely supervisor's certificate
  • An understanding of HS&E compliance
