Position Summary
This position will encompass responsibilities of a Technical Consultant (TC) reporting to the Services Manager.


As a Technical Consultant, you will be focused on the technical components of Pathway and its breadth of integration options.

Your responsibilities will be consulting and analysing customer business requirements for Pathway configuration and for the design and scoping of solutions to agreed requirements.

Key focus areas will include integration both existing and future design and scope.

In addition, you will be responsible for the technical requirements of new installations, upgrades and involved in resolving environmental problems that relate to all and any components of Pathway's topology.

The position involves close interaction with clients, architects, product consultants, developers, support teams and of course the customer leads.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams from initial sales discovery through to architectural design and implementation of Pathwaybased solutions
  • Contribute to the goals, objectives and priorities of the Pathway IBU
  • Able to translate business and technical requirements into project and architectural blueprints that achieve the desired business outcomes using a standard structure and repository
  • Contribute nonfunctional and integration/interface responses to tender responses and proposals
  • Assist in the creation of delivery plans, estimates and project timelines
  • Engage with customers at the request of the Account Executives, Client Partners, Project Managers, Services Manager or Solution Delivery Manager
  • Confirms the scope of the delivered solution reflects the endtoend design agreed in the sales cycle and highlight deviations from scope to the customer and internally within Infor
  • Review and provide input to the quotations and statements of work as requested
  • Work on projects in a highly collaborative model with Infor consultants, partners and clients
  • Understand and challenge current business processes and propose possible solutions to the customers' business issues
  • Identify required functional and technical resources for project and technical work orders and provide quality assurance of the assigned tasks
  • Recommend services revenue opportunities such as training programs, consulting or integration engagements which the team could offer to enhance customer success
  • Excellent technical understanding of cloud services, software platforms and technical architecture of Pathway
  • Strong understanding of System Administration tasks associated with the installation, upgrading, monitoring and performance of Pathway or a solution of similar complexity. The ability to provide hands on training as well as performing these tasks for a customer.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders and/or partners to define and document client specific business needs and requirements
  • Develop and collaborate on project deliverables such as project plans, process diagrams, use cases, gap analysis and functional design documents
  • Contribute to Pathway process enhancement initiatives, including the further development of projectspecific documents, tools, and artefacts
  • Provide advice to AEs, consultants and customers where there is a shift to move away from core Pathway technologies and industry accepted solutions
  • Demonstrate excellent integration knowledge of InforOS, ION, Web Services, API's and the use and interaction with Pathway within the Local Government solutions
  • Lead and contribute to integration working sessions, providing scoping direction, design and testing as required of new integration deliverables and technical change
  • Provides Pathway technical product knowledge to support groups such as marketing, documentation, training, support, field services and usergroups and clients
  • Peer review functional, technical and help documentation as requested

Role Requirements

  • Preferred experience in the Local Government Industry
  • Experience in SaaS software solutions is highly preferred
  • Strong process and business requirements analysis experience
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms
  • High degree of collaboration and focus on team working
  • Must be completely fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach, selfmotivated and able to work and make decisions independently.
