A great opportunity has become available in our Sheet Metal shop on the North side of Brisbane.

You will be working full time hours; Monday to Friday; however, you will need to be flexible as you may need to work some overtime on occasions.


Reporting to the production Manager your new role will require you to be diverse and understand the process of producing high quality steel pressings.


_Skills and Experience_:

- studying blueprints, drawings & specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements.

  • Selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvanised iron, mild steel, aluminium & copper, and checking gauges and dimensions of metal stock agains specifications.
- marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments.

  • Cutting metal stock along guidelines using hand and power shears, Guillotines and drills.
  • Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers presses and hammers.
  • Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing and otherwise joining
  • Finishing products by polishing, filling, sanding and cleaning assembled products.
  • May repair damaged sheetmetal products and components
  • May specialise in fabrication, onsite assembly and installation, of sheetmetal products.
  • May produce aircraft sheetmetal components requiring advanced drawing and calculating skills.
  • May specialise in decorative Copperwork.
  • Proactive reliable and hard working
  • OH crane and/or forklift experience but not essential
  • Comply to occupational health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license
