Trayline Supervisor

The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the biggest employer in Tasmania, counting with more than 28,000 workers who provide services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.

Lead, motivate, guide, and train to ensure that all trayline and ware-wash tasks maintain the highest quality standard for patients, visitors, and staff, making sure everything runs smoothly and effectively following the established standards and procedures. This role is situated at the Cambridge Production Kitchen.

Cambridge Production Centre

• Supervise actively the preparation, plating, and cleaning of the assigned areas at the production center, guaranteeing high levels of food and personal hygiene in compliance with the relevant regulations, codes of practice, and the Food Safety Program.
• Oversee, motivate, and assist all production center staff, providing training on food plating, packaging, ware-wash, food safety, WH&S, and dietary guidelines.
• Introduce alternative methods to solve operational issues by implementing backup plans for relief staff, reorganizing work assignments when necessary in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Appointment Details

Full-time permanent position as a day worker, with a workload of up to 76 hours per fortnight, starting at the earliest convenience.

• Applicants should be aware that, within twelve months from the publication date, this selection process might be utilized to fill future full-time and part-time positions.

Salary: $71,455 per year. Additionally, there is an 11% superannuation contribution from the employer on top of this amount.

You will have access to a salary package that includes various benefits such as living expenses coverage up to $9,010 + $2,650 allocated for meal entertainment every FBT year, among other benefits if eligible.

• The salary range conforms to the Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award

Desirable criteria for applicants include:

Certificate III in Hospitality or a relevant qualification and experience.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the selected candidate for this position must undergo a pre-employment check before starting the role, in case of promotion or transfer. The following checks are required:

• Conviction checks related to crimes of violence, sex offenses, serious drug-related crimes, crimes involving dishonesty, and a check of disciplinary actions in previous employments.
