Program Officer - WorkWell

  • $128,755.00 per annum + superannuation
  • Multiple full-time, ongoing positions available
  • Geelong Location - Hybrid (minimum 3 days in the Geelong office is required)

Purpose

WorkWell aims to support employers to prevent mental injuries and promote safe and mentally healthy workplaces. WorkWell takes a system level, prevention based approach to address the root causes of poor mental health. In doing so, we build evidence and share knowledge about what it takes to influence behaviours and implement systems to create psychologically healthy and safe workplaces.

To do this, WorkWell provides access to funding opportunities for project partnerships to test and trial workplace interventions, access to knowledge sharing opportunities via our learning networks, and step by step support for employers on how to tackle common workplace issues with a range of helpful digital tools and resources. Core to our work is the monitoring and evaluation of our impact.

About the role

This role will be primarily responsible for leading the scoping, design, and creation of online content, as well as testing and improving the future and existing WorkWell digital tools and resources to create a seamless and integrated end-to-end customer experience. These tools and resources form part of WorkWell behaviour-change toolkit, and are intended to increase awareness and improve capacity of Victorian employers to prevent work-related psychological injuries and promote psychologically healthy and safe workplaces. This role will be supported by a digital specialists to administer changes to the online products.

This role will be required to conduct and use mixed research methodologies of quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision making, make recommendations and implement improvements to meet audience needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work in multiple project or program teams within WorkWell and across WorkSafe. Collaborate with the members of the team and lead the scoping, design and development of projects. The team may be drawn from across the business or from contracted providers to bring the technical and/or operational knowledge required by the project.
  • Seek the input of internal and external stakeholders to build shared ownership. This may involve acting as facilitator at meetings or workshops and using co-design principles.
  • Facilitate development of program logic models for projects. Following endorsement of the program logic, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to scope projects and document the purpose, timelines, activities to be delivered, accountabilities and key milestones.
  • Work with relevant internal business partners and external agencies to obtain and analyse available data required to scope projects and inform decision making.
  • Undertake work identified in project plans and/or co-ordinate with other parts of WorkSafe to deliver on projects. Report on progress against the project plan. Build in review points to determine if the projects or programs are on track or require adjustment.

About you

The successful candidate will have an exceptional command of written English or experience writing in plain language, and demonstrated ability to distil complex concepts into easy to understand information, and easy to use tools/resources.

A successful candidate for this role will be autonomous, innovative and comfortable working in a team environment. They will have a background in health promotion, adult education, communications, customer experience (CX) or similar fields.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience working in system level behaviour change
  • End to end project design, management and evaluation
  • Critical analysis (data and info analysis, and problem solving)
  • Stakeholder management to influence, negotiate, and manage divergent views

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g. Communications, Service Design, CX, public health, health promotion, OHS, health sciences)
