As a Journey Expert - Product Management in the Business Platform Services Tribe, you will work with our squads in an agile way to manage our in-market propositions/services.

You will work with people who are passionate about collaboration and redefining banking for the future. You'll be part of our ongoing technology transformation as a provider of platform services to the broader bank.

This role is accountable for:

  • Analysing the market and competition while creating a vision for a product that is unique and offers value to customers based on identified needs. This covers strategic and tactical works and must offer crossfunctional leadership with stakeholders such as engineering, marketing and distribution.
  • Using your product management expertise to optimise existing services and influence future direction for our suite of product / services.
  • Owning vendor management activities such as selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, controlling costs, reducing vendorrelated risks and ensuring service delivery within agreed SLAs / performance targets.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners and Tribe Leadership to clearly articulate feature value including alignment to strategic themes set by ANZ.
  • Managing the Asset Lifecycle Management risk on behalf of squads to ensure products/services are appropriately supported and not running endoflife / obsolete.
  • Proactively manage and monitor business performance to ensure customer offerings are safe, secure, available, financially sound and easy to use. This includes the documentation of service levels but also forecasting of future growth and consumption.

What will you bring?


You'll be working in a high performing team of Product Managers that will proactively manage and monitor business performance to ensure customer offerings are safe, secure, available, financially sound and customer loved.

You will drive business growth by optimising the uptake of existing services and improve the customer experience by devising new, innovative solutions or propositions.

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
A deep understanding of facets of product management, including using product levers to drive business growth via heightened customer understanding
Curiosity for banking and finance industry trends, customer authentication, identity and access management particularly with respect to the product market
A working knowledge of change management activities and techniques, including an understanding of technology delivery methodology and BAU practices
Working knowledge of agile practices, including the various agile ceremonies
Influencing and relationship building strategies for heightened collaboration.

You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
