Job description:

An experienced Service Design Specialist is required to join a Brisbane-based government department on an initial 12 month contract.

This is a transformational and strategic role that spans traditional business functions within the department and its customers. Transformational change management, commercially orientated services leadership, communication and negotiation skills are essential.

You will lead the implementation of ICT services focussing on, sustainability, transparency, efficiency, lean and agile principles, whilst maximising the services portfolio value to our customers.


Skills/Experience

  • 5 or more years experience in service/solution design/architecture within large, complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic direction that enables the delivery of sustainable, value for money, fit for purpose services and technologies that meet the business requirements of customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering ICT services and solutions in a service provider or commercially oriented organisation.
  • A deep understanding of public sector operations and the challenges faced by public sector managers in the provision of services.
  • Strategic planning capability to lead, manage and advocate for business and system reform and to drive the adoptions of new services within a large, diverse and complex organisation.
