Role Overview

TheHR Advisor supports the Assistant Director in the administration and coordination of work within the Workforce and Engagement Strategies team.


You will be responsible for successfully delivering HR projects and programs while assisting in the design and implementation of strategic workforce frameworks.

You will actively model positive behaviours and create a professional and collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development and management of people strategies and initiatives, in close collaboration with relevant business areas.
  • Monitor and coordinate shared mailboxes and prepare and coordinate responses to stakeholder queries in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the delivery of policy development and/or project management.
  • Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals and where required, represent the agency by promoting its interests in various forums (internally and externally) both verbally and in writing.
  • Conduct research and analysis to monitor strategies including the preparation of reports.
  • Use expertise and experience in continuous improvement processes for the purpose of best practice principles or relevant instructions and operating procedures.

Mandatory

  • Communicate and make decisions exercising sound judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
  • Contribute to innovate ideas and maximise the benefits of change, including the identification of opportunities to improve employee engagement initiatives and processes.
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully with internal and external stakeholders, through the use of excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the Agency's strategic direction.
