About Your Role


You are accountable for a core platform, covering all aspects of product development, including technical and design decisions, direction, and delivery scope to ensure that the vision of the business and future product development achieves their desired targets, ensuring technology is of exceptional quality on a global scale, delivering the highest possible value to the business.


Reporting into the Head of Core Platforms, you are the product expert and work alongside Business Product Owners, Portfolio Leader, and Project Managers to define the technology behind a business idea.


What you will do

  • Mentor, support and regularly engage project teams to enhance the organisation's project capabilities.
  • Support and promote an environment where agility and continuous improvement is built into work practices and actively encourage agile practices.
  • Actively drive and nurture collaboration with the business, identifying opportunities for synergistic solutions.
  • Establish a clear process for managing and monitoring customer satisfaction and feedback.
  • Prioritise ideas, promoted into features to push the product strategy forward.
  • Implement new technologies to further modernise platforms.
  • Work closely with engineering on the technical specifications and ensure that associated teams have all of the information they need to deliver a complete product to market.
  • Lead the direction of work to continually optimise the governance and decisionmaking processes within the product line across technology.
  • Recommend business process changes for better product line adoption across technology.
  • Proactive vendor and commercial management, driving strong partnerships to deliver costeffective, responsive, performancedriven reliable services.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and experiences, own and take action on issues effectively and efficiently. Strive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Promote and enable an environment of positivity, selfempowerment/improvement, and development.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years managing productcentric teams and deliver on a complex platform including product management, technical and design management.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Product management skills and methods, with the ability to interpret business strategy into IT product roadmaps and deliveries.
  • Experience with design thinking and experience in product development from ideation to commercialise.
  • A track record of continuous delivery of incremental value.
  • Experience working with a variety of supplier /resource models, including matrix, managed services, and multiple suppliers.
  • Experience in working in a competitive, fast paced industry.
