The Company:

This Government Health Network delivers dental health care to adults and young people across the community. Forming a vital component of the NSW public health system.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertake reception duties necessary to ensure the effective and efficient management of the department
  • Receive and discharge patients from the department
  • Process patient queries and telephone enquiries
  • Liaise with reception and administrative staff from other departments, in relation to services provided
  • Attend to staff and patient requests and complains
  • To arrange appointments for patients attending the Department
  • Organise department and interdepartmental appointments
  • Liaise with dentists to coordinate appointments for patients
  • Arrange interpreting services for patients as required
  • Maintain waiting list and arrange callup and recall of patients
  • Coordinate patients for university clinics
  • Comply with Management Procedures for missed or cancelled patient appointments policy
  • Supporting Administration and filing duties

Desired Criteria:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team, independently and with mínimal supervision
  • Experience with computer hardware and software, including database and word processing programs
  • Demonstrated clerical skills
  • Experience in a frontline position or working directly with the public
  • Must have a positive, proactive/can do attitude
  • The ability to prioritise and work under pressure along with the ability to multi task
