About the position
Council's Natural Reserves Department is looking for a Team Leader Coastal Management who will be responsible for:

  • Provide leadership to a team of Rangers, specialist bushland contractors and the Indigenous Nursery
  • Implement set service delivery programs to maintain and enhance biodiversity and open space in parks and conservation areas in accordance with best practice flora and fauna management techniques.
  • Encourage appropriate work practices within the team to maximise staff & public safety and minimise environmental impacts during maintenance operations
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week.

About you


You bring to the role a
Diploma or equivalent experience in Conservation and land management (or similar field), coupled with proven experience in management of conservation areas and indigenous flora and fauna.

And whilst not essential, it would be advantageous to have;

  • Fire suppression qualifications and experience with planned burning operations
  • Level 1 Chainsaw Certificate
  • Agricultural Chemical Users Certificate
