The Opportunity:

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Wastewater Operator to join our team based in Newcastle NSW 2300.

As the Wastewater Operator you will be responsible for operating equipment to ensure the delivery of world class wastewater services across the Hunter Water Contract.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Performing general process, operational and maintenance tasks within the plant on a daytoday basis.
  • Field collection and laboratory analysis of effluent samples.
  • Contributing to a workplace culture where safety is given the highest priority.
  • Participating in the use and implementation of the organisational business systems, including:
  • Contractor management, supervision and inductions;
  • Safety management systems
  • Following, developing and providing advice on work instructions, procedures and safe systems of work.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Experience in wastewater treatment plant operations would be highly regarded
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment in a water industry environment.
  • Trade qualifications preferred
