Overview

The Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health team as a Speech Pathologist (AHP1 & 2) or a Senior Paediatric Speech Pathologist (AHP3) on a Full time or Part time capacity, on an ongoing basis or in a term contract (for 12 months).

As the Speech Pathologist (or Senior Speech Pathologist), you will be responsible for provision of effective delivery of comprehensive speech pathology services to children, and young people and their families/caregivers. Services may be provided to inpatients, outpatients or at outreach locations.

As a member of the Allied Health Speech Pathology team, the Speech Pathologist will encourage and support team work amongst staff, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement for optimal client service outcomes. The Speech Pathologist is responsible for ensuring the continuum of care for clients into the community is seamless.

About You

To be eligible you must have a minimum 4 year undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and be a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia.

To be successful in this role, you will use your knowledge of relevant and contemporary Speech Pathology theories and models relating to the management of paediatric clients. You will draw heavily on your excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. You should also be able to work under pressure and to demonstrate effective time management.

If you have experience in speech pathology practices in a paediatric setting and in the direction of Allied Health Assistant staff, then this role is for you.
