Use Your Skills in Leadership as our New Corps Business Operations Manager

The leadership you will bring


The Corps Business Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the enterprise activities of The Salvation Army (TSA) in Noosa / Coolum, which includes 3 stores, a warehouse and a café.

Additionally, you will be responsible for driving change and leading the improvement of service levels and developing the leadership capabilities of the current managers.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervision of the managers of the Noosa / Coolum Family Stores, Warehouse and THRIVE Café
  • Regularly consult with the Area Store Manager to understand, implement and align store strategy, and collaborate regularly with neighbouring Sunshine Coast Family Store to ensure strong partnerships Management of all Corps based business and operational matters
  • Work closely with the Corps Administration team on administration regarding Family Store and caférelated business, finance and operational matters, ensuring alignment with TSA policy and procedures
  • Develop the managers/employee's capability through mentoring, coaching and empowering them to achieve local financial and missional goals. Implement robust performance management plans, including goal setting and regular employee reviews
This is a permanent full-time position, located in Noosa, QLD.

  • Demonstrated experience in business management, line management, budgeting, and financial management
  • Previous Church management experience would be highly regarded
  • Proven experience in developing businesses to grow profitability
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management or equivalency
  • An understanding of working within the notforprofit sector would be highly regarded
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong people management skills; experience of managing volunteers would be highly regarded
  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote, support and model the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
  • A national police record check is required
  • Current Drivers Licence
