An opportunity exists to join the Communications & Governance team in the role of Senior Advisor (Governance and Communications) where you will provide high level advice and guidance to managers, team leaders and team members on the management of governance services across the region and on ministerial, public correspondence, complaints management and media statements.

You will also coordinate the development and delivery of internal communications strategies and activities that promote the work of the region and support the region's leadership vision.


Accountabilities include:

  • Overseeing non-project related correspondence, including ministerial briefing notes, executive correspondence and reporting requirements and managing the regional complaints process.
  • Providing high level advice and ensuring compliance with corporate governance
obligations, standards, legislation and policies including
o updating the project program schedules and dashboards.
o creating meeting agendas, minutes and board papers for governance meetings
o assisting with the management of program issues and risks
o leading and/or coordinating learnings workshops and learnings register
o leading and coordinating program assurance activities and relevant reporting
o undertaking governance reviews on major projects
o assisting project managers set up governance requirements.

  • Undertaking a range of program and project activities which support and enhance region office program and project delivery.
  • Providing advice and support to the Regional Leadership Team in relation to initiatives focussed on enhancing regional capability.
  • Leading, coaching and supporting program support staff to ensure skill sets and training needs are identified and developed.
