My client is an international leading packaging solutions outfit, specialising in the design, development, and manufacture of robotic and automated processing and packaging machines and systems.

Responsibilities

They are currently seeking to engage the services of an experienced Field Service Technician to join their dynamic NSW Service team based in Sydney. As a Field Service Technician based in Sydney, you will be involved in the assembly, installation, commissioning, training, and troubleshooting of automated machinery. Responsibilities include:
  • Perform routine maintenance and scheduled repairs as per established schedules.
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment and machinery
  • Attend breakdowns promptly, utilising problem-solving skills to implement effective solutions.
  • Execute enhancements and updates to existing machinery to enhance functionality.
  • Communicate transparently and promptly with clients and internal teams.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure seamless delivery of customer service.

The Successful Candidate Ideally Must Have The Following

  • Mechanical Trade qualification.
  • A-Grade or Restricted Electrical License is highly regarded
  • Previous experience as field service technician, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial food packaging equipment and/or industrial automated machinery
  • Experience in the packaging industry with demonstrated proficiency in supporting high-speed production machinery
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
  • Customer-focused mindset, demonstrating the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, coupled with self-motivation and a results-oriented work approach.
  • A valid current driver's license and willingness to travel both locally and interstate is essential for the role.
