Nursing - Aged Care (Healthcare & Medical)

As part of a small but very successful owner operated aged care organisation, this new vibrant and contemporary home, located in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, will provide superior accommodation to around 145 residents and is the preferred home away from home for elderly residents in the local community. .

The Position:

The Clinical Services Manager will work closely with the FM/DON and will be supported by 3 strong Clinical Care Co-ordinators and dedicated clinical and non-clinical team that will grow as occupancy levels ramp up. Head office support includes a Clinical Governance Manager and AN-ACC Manager who are readily available to assist with day to day AN-ACC and Quality activities, allowing the CSM and clinical team to manage the provision of quality care to existing residents and thorough assessment and AN-ACC evaluation for all incoming new residents.

To be successful in this role the CSM will require:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Div 1 Nurse
  • Atleast 2-3 years experience working in a Senior Clinical Manager or DDON role in aged care.
  • Working knowledge of AN-ACC principles, care planning, and validation procedures
  • Thorough understanding of current Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing practices and clinical indicators in relation to the care of the elderly.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor, train and lead all new staff
  • Previous staff management and mentoring experience.
